A look inside
See it in your hands.

How it works
Up and running in under two minutes.
- 01
Open your morning
A daily verse, a guided prayer rhythm, and a lit candle on your altar — under two minutes.
- 02
Read and pray
Open the Bible in your translation, save the verses that land, and tend your prayer wall through the day.
- 03
Let it compound
Follow a reading plan, keep a vow or fast, memorize a verse. Five quiet minutes a day adds up.
A note from the studio
“I built Amen because most 'faith' apps felt like social networks or productivity tools. I wanted a digital monastic cell — somewhere quiet, beautiful, and focused entirely on the practice.”
Questions
The honest answers.
Is Amen free to use?
The core of Amen is free — the full offline Bible, the prayer wall, your altar, reading plans, and the journal all work the moment you open the app. There are optional in-app purchases through the App Store and Google Play, but the daily practice doesn't sit behind a paywall. It's priced to feel like the gentler option next to faith apps that charge around $70 a year.
Does Amen work offline, and where is my data stored?
Yes — the entire Bible ships bundled in the app and is read fully offline, so you never need a connection to open it. Everything you create — prayers, journal entries, candles, vows, fasting logs, reading progress, and saved verses — stays in a database on your device. Nothing is sent to a server by default, so keep a device backup if you want your data to restore with a new phone.
Do I need an account or to give my email?
No. Amen needs no account, sign-up, or email — it works the instant you open it. There's no profile to manage and no login wall between you and the practice.
Which Bible translations are included?
Amen bundles three public-domain translations on-device: the World English Bible (WEB), the King James Version (KJV), and the American Standard Version (ASV). You can read all 66 books in any of them without a connection, and save or highlight the verses that land.
How is Amen different from YouVersion, Hallow, or Glorify?
YouVersion is built around streaks, social sharing, and thousands of plans; Amen is deliberately quiet — no feed, no streak-shame, no ads. Where Hallow and Glorify lean on celebrity audio and heavier paywalls, Amen stays text-first, private, and lighter to carry. It's a small companion for personal practice, not a social network or a study suite like Olive Tree.
Is Amen tied to a particular denomination?
No — it's built for quiet Christian practice across traditions, not for one denomination. The altar's candles, vows, and fasting trackers are personal acts of prayer, not real-money features or sacraments. Amen is a companion for your own rhythm, not a substitute for Scripture, your faith community, or pastoral guidance.
Is Amen on Android or only iPhone?
Amen supports in-app purchases through both Apple's App Store and Google Play billing, so it's built for iPhone and Android alike. Optional notifications can remind you of your daily prayer rhythm, and they're entirely up to you to turn on.
All your content — prayers, journal entries, candles, vows, fasting logs, reading progress, and saved verses — is stored locally on your device. The full Bible text ships bundled in the app and is read entirely offline.
